YIP pickup guide: Willow Run

How chauffeur pickups work at Willow Run (YIP), serving Detroit: where you are met, what waiting is included, and what to send when you book.

Arriving at YIP

Willow Run handles private aviation for Detroit. Chauffeurs meet the aircraft at the FBO rather than a terminal, so we need the tail number and the FBO name rather than a flight number.

DTW is about 25 minutes from Downtown and rather closer to Dearborn and the automotive campuses.

What is included

Flight tracking on every pickup, so a delayed landing moves the pickup with it at no charge. International arrivals include 60 minutes of waiting from touchdown and domestic arrivals 30.

Your chauffeur carries your bags to the car. The meeting point for your terminal is written in the confirmation email.

Getting into Detroit

Most journeys from YIP run to Downtown Detroit, Midtown, Birmingham, Royal Oak and the rest of the metro.

A good share of the work runs between the airport, the Oakland County suburbs and the engineering campuses, with winter weather planned for.

What to send when you book

The tail number, the FBO, the expected arrival window, passenger count and luggage.
