O'Hare is one of the busiest airports in the world and its terminals are far apart, so the meeting point matters. Your chauffeur waits at baggage claim with a name sign. Midway is smaller and quicker for domestic arrivals on the South Side.
This guide covers how ground transportation works in Chicago: which airport suits which destination, where cars can actually collect you, when the city books out, and what to send us so a quote comes back right the first time.
The airports
| Code | Airport |
|---|---|
| ORD | O'Hare International |
| MDW | Midway International |
| PWK | Chicago Executive, private aviation |
O'Hare International (ORD) handles most scheduled traffic, with Midway International (MDW), Chicago Executive, private aviation (PWK) covering the rest.
Every airport pickup is tracked against your flight number. If the aircraft lands late, the pickup moves with it at no charge, and your chauffeur meets you inside at baggage claim with a name sign rather than waiting on the arrivals road.
Where journeys actually go
Most Chicago bookings run between the airports and . We also cover the surrounding area and the rest of the metro.
Winter is the real variable in Chicago. Snow and lake-effect weather change drive times without warning, so we build in extra time between November and March rather than charging you for the delay.
When the city is busy
Demand here is driven by convention traffic at McCormick Place, winter weather, corporate work in the Loop. Those are the weeks when vehicles book out first, so a booking made early is worth more than a booking made carefully.
Venues that generate regular work include McCormick Place, The Peninsula Chicago, the United Center. For events at any of them, we agree the drop-off point in advance rather than discovering on the night that the entrance is closed to traffic.
Leaving town
Regular long-distance runs from Chicago go to . Door to door in one car often beats a short flight once airport time is counted, and it is usually cheaper than several separate fares once a group is involved.
What to send when you book
- Pickup address, destination and the date and time
- Flight number for anything airport related
- Passenger count, plus checked and carry-on bags counted separately
- Child seats, with ages and weights
- Anything unusual: pets, oversized items, venue access, accessibility needs
A note on pricing. We do not publish rate tables. Every journey is quoted for the exact route and the fare is fixed before you travel, so it does not move with traffic, weather or demand.
