SUV, Sprinter or coach: choosing a vehicle class

How to pick between the three classes based on passengers, luggage and what the journey is for.

You book a class, not a model

Bookings are made by class: Premium SUV, Full-size SUV, Sprinter van or coach. The exact model is confirmed with your booking, and you are never given a smaller class than the one you paid for.

If a specific car matters, for a wedding or a client pickup, say so when you book and we will confirm what is available on your date.

Count the luggage, not just the people

A premium SUV seats four, but four passengers with four large cases will not fit comfortably. The common mistake is booking by headcount alone and finding the boot full at the kerb.

As a rule: a premium SUV suits up to four passengers with three cases, a full-size SUV suits four to six with six cases, and a Sprinter absorbs roughly one large case per passenger.

When the SUV is worth it

Choose an SUV for airport runs with checked bags, for families with car seats, for anyone travelling with golf clubs or ski gear, and for groups of four or more who do not want to be shoulder to shoulder.

SUVs also sit higher, which some passengers prefer on long journeys.

When to move up to a Sprinter

Once you are past six passengers, a Sprinter is cheaper and simpler than two cars, and the group stays together. It also has standing headroom, which matters on longer transfers.

Above 14, look at a mini coach or a full coach instead.
