Indianapolis 500
The 500 puts a crowd the size of a city into one site on one afternoon. Road closures around the Speedway begin early in the morning, and the surrounding streets operate under a completely different pattern from any other day of the year.
The event is effectively won or lost on timing. Arriving early is uncomfortable but workable; arriving late is not, because by then the approach roads are saturated and the closures are in force.
Getting Around Indianapolis 500
Closures start at dawn
Georgetown Road, 16th Street and the streets around the Speedway are closed or restricted from early morning. Drop-off points are fixed and depend on which gate your ticket uses.
Leaving takes hours
The exodus after the race is measured in hours, not minutes. A chauffeur staged outside the closure ring and a short walk is faster than sitting in it.
It is a whole weekend
Carb Day, the parade and the Snake Pit mean the Speedway area is busy for days, not just Sunday.
Heat
Late May in Indiana can be genuinely hot, and most of the seating is uncovered. Long walks to a distant car park are worse than they sound.

How close can the car get?
As close as the day's closures allow, which depends on your gate. We will tell you the realistic drop point when we quote rather than promising the gate itself.
When should we leave for the track?
Earlier than feels reasonable. We will give you a pickup time based on your gate and the closure schedule.
Can you handle a corporate suite group?
Yes, including coaches for larger parties and a single coordinator for the weekend.
