New Year's Eve in Times Square
New Year's Eve in Manhattan is the hardest night of the year to move around. A frozen zone goes up around Times Square during the afternoon, and from that point a substantial part of Midtown is simply not reachable by car.
This is our home market, and we run it every year. The work is less about driving than about knowing where a vehicle can still legally stop, and when.
Getting Around New Year's Eve in Times Square
The frozen zone
Streets around Times Square close progressively from the afternoon, and access is controlled by the NYPD. No vehicle gets close, regardless of what you have booked.
Drop-off is blocks away
Expect to be set down outside the perimeter and walk in. We will tell you exactly where before the night, rather than discovering it together.
Getting out afterwards
The crowd releases at once and the closures lift gradually. A pre-agreed collection point well outside the zone is the only arrangement that works.
Everything else is busy too
Restaurant and party demand across Manhattan and Brooklyn peaks the same night, so vehicle supply citywide is at its tightest.

No — nobody can. The frozen zone excludes vehicles. We get you as close as the closures permit and tell you the walk in advance.

Well ahead. It is the single busiest night of the year for ground transport in New York.
