Charleston International (CHS) handles most scheduled traffic, with Charleston Executive, private aviation (JZI) covering the rest.
Every airport pickup is tracked against your flight number. If the aircraft lands late, the pickup moves with it at no charge, and your chauffeur meets you inside at baggage claim with a name sign rather than waiting on the arrivals road.
Where journeys actually go
Most Charleston bookings run between the airports and Historic District, King Street, Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island. We also cover Kiawah Island, Sullivan's Island, Summerville and the rest of the metro.
Charleston is a wedding city, and the narrow streets downtown mean pickup points are agreed with venues in advance.
When the city is busy
Demand here is driven by weddings in the historic district, golf travel to Kiawah, spring and autumn visitor season. Those are the weeks when vehicles book out first, so a booking made early is worth more than a booking made carefully.
Venues that generate regular work include the Charleston Place Hotel, the Dewberry, Kiawah Island Golf Resort. For events at any of them, we agree the drop-off point in advance rather than discovering on the night that the entrance is closed to traffic.
Leaving town
Regular long-distance runs from Charleston go to Savannah, Hilton Head, Columbia, Myrtle Beach. Door to door in one car often beats a short flight once airport time is counted, and it is usually cheaper than several separate fares once a group is involved.
What to send when you book
- Pickup address, destination and the date and time
- Flight number for anything airport related
- Passenger count, plus checked and carry-on bags counted separately
- Child seats, with ages and weights
- Anything unusual: pets, oversized items, venue access, accessibility needs
