Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival
Coachella takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, while most attendees stay across the Coachella Valley — Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta and the rental houses in between. Nearly everyone travels in and out each day.
The festival runs over two consecutive weekends with substantially the same line-up, which spreads demand but does not reduce the daily problem: tens of thousands of people arriving and leaving a single site along desert roads.
Getting Around Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival
Egress is the defining problem
Leaving the polo grounds after the headline set can take hours. A chauffeur staged away from the main exit and a short walk beats sitting in the queue.
Everyone stays somewhere else
Palm Springs is roughly half an hour away in normal traffic and much more during festival hours. Rental houses across the valley add more spread.
Desert heat
April days are hot and the site is exposed. Air-conditioned door-to-door is not a luxury here so much as a practical necessity.
Two weekends, different crowds
The second weekend is often slightly easier, but both sell out and both strain local vehicle supply.

Can you collect us right at the gates?
At an agreed staging point near them. Sitting in the main egress queue helps nobody, and a short walk to a waiting car is reliably faster.
Do you cover rental houses across the valley?
Yes — Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Indian Wells and the surrounding area.
Can one vehicle carry our whole group?
Up to fourteen in a Sprinter, more in a minibus. Tell us the headcount and we will size it.
