Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras is not a single day. Parades run for weeks ahead of Fat Tuesday, each closing a different set of streets for hours, and the closures cascade across the city rather than staying in one district.
The rule that governs everything here is simple: you cannot cross a parade route while a parade is rolling. A destination half a mile away can be unreachable for two hours, and the only solution is planning around the schedule rather than the map.
Getting Around Mardi Gras
You cannot cross a rolling parade
Routes along St. Charles Avenue and Canal Street cut the city in half while they roll. A journey that looks trivial may have no legal route at all until the parade clears.
The schedule changes daily
Different krewes, different routes, different hours, over weeks. Planning has to be done against the day's actual schedule.
The Quarter is largely closed to vehicles
Much of the French Quarter restricts traffic during the season, so drop-off happens at the edge and you walk in.
Book well ahead
Local vehicle supply is fully committed during the season, and late bookings frequently cannot be filled at any price.
What We Provide

Vehicles That Suit It
Tell us the headcount and the luggage and we will size the vehicle rather than defaulting to the largest. Every fare is quoted for your exact route and fixed before you travel — there is no event pricing and no surge.

Can you get us to the French Quarter?
To the edge of it, at whichever point is open that day. Much of the Quarter is closed to vehicles during the season.
Why can't we cross the parade?
Nobody can — routes are physically closed while a parade rolls. We plan around the schedule instead of trying.
How far ahead should we book?
Months. Supply is committed early and the season is the busiest period of the year here.
